Over 60 Welsh Flags and 500m of bunting will be flown throughout Beddau, Llantrisant, Talbot Green and Tynant over the next couple of weeks to welcome the Eisteddfod to RCT.
Summer Floral Displays
The floral displays are looking lovely this year. Each of the baskets has an internal reservoir which gets filled with water twice a week by Community Council Staff. The baskets are also fertilised fortnightly.
The planters are filled with perennial plants which are now in their third year and becoming more established.
New Defibrillator at Beddau Spar
New Defibrillator outside Spar in Beddau We are pleased to announce there is now a public access defibrillator (PAD) outside Spar in Beddau, which will be available 24/7.
The new Automated External Defibrillator (AED) is FULLY automatic and like other AEDs in the area gives you full instructions on how to use it.
Tom and Ben from Pontyclun First Responders co-ordinated the whole project with a big thank you to Lisa James from Spar for playing the equal part in fundraising £660.00 and Llantrisant Community Council ward members for helping with the rest of the funds.
Also, a huge thank you to Ashley Adams for fitting the cabinet within a few hours notice, and further offering to do all the rest of the First Responders cabinets too!!
Tom and Ben, will be organising awareness sessions in the foreseeable future .

On the 1st December 2023 following several months of discussions. Llantrisant Community Council took over the running of Beddau Community Centre on behalf of Rhondda Cynon Taff
A vital part of the community the hall is well used by local groups including Karate, NU Productions, Slimming World and Energise Dance and Fitness. Since December a side room has been converted and is the new base for BLT Food Hub.
There is a bouncy castle which can be included with the hall hire for children’s parties.
